I’m honestly shocked that it worked, everytime I’ve ever dyed something the dye would just wash out.

You know what? Even if you don’t use yarn for your projects, this would be an excellent present for the people in your life that do. Handpainted yarn is expensive, you can make a lot of it for less than $10.
