For the past two days I have been sick with some sort of cold/body ache/sleeping thing. I refuse to call this a flu because I got a flu shot, so therefore I can’t get the flu, right? RIGHT! I am officially 100% immune to any sort of flu for one whole year, that’s the rules of flu shot.
I am not a horrible sick person to be around, I try to keep the whining down to a minimum and my main goal is to try to flip positions while sleeping so I don’t wake up with a sore hip. I like some sort of flavored beverage when I’m sick; orange juice, lemonade, etc and for some reason I really, really crave chocolate. I love chocolate anyway but a cold awakens the chocolate monster inside of me.
What I have done these past two days:
- Slept. And then I woke up to find a new surface to sleep on. So far I’ve conquered the my bed, the couch and the guest bedroom. I could write a whole essay on the pro’s and con’s of each of those sleeping surfaces. I won’t though.
- Actually watched TV. Usually I like to multitask while watching TV (IPad, Crafting), today I sat down and watched a few hours of the Game Show Network. No Whammies!
- Sat in the “lounge” position of my fancy pants bed (It reclines and elevates your feet) and read blogs that I haven’t read in years.
- Read Facebook. Refreshed Facebook to see if anyone posted anything that would make me laugh. Refreshed again.
- Had deep conversations with the dogs to see if they’ve been enjoying the new wet diet instead of the old dry diet.
- Felt my forehead to see if I have a fever. I don’t. (This is a dumb idea, can you really feel for yourself if you have a fever?)
Yeah, nothing going on that warrants a decent blog post.
